When I was in Death Valley last week I woke up to a full moon that I wasn't expecting. I thought maybe the sun hadn't gone down because of how bright my tent was. I walked outside and sat in the cold for a minute, feeling the energy of the moment.

I have a memory of when I was younger, sitting in the backseat and looking at the moon. I remember talking to it and my mom replying as if it were things the moon was saying.

Sitting in Death Valley, I could picture myself in my mom's shoes. Then I imagined I had a family of my own, a child and a wife waiting back in the tent waiting for me.

Maybe it was another life. All I can do is improve myself. I certainly have things to work on. I wish that moment had been real.
